Tell me about the deal

Messages go to Cisco Caceres directly. I reply within two business days, sooner when a deal clock is running.

Send a message

Inquiries go through the contact form on my own site, which handles messages for all my work. The link opens it with CodeProvenance preflight already selected.

Or email [email protected]. It reaches me directly.

What to include

  • Which side you are on: buyer, deal counsel, the company, or a banker or adviser
  • The stage: before an LOI, in exclusivity, or preparing for a sale
  • A rough enterprise value range and the key dates
  • What the target's product does with AI, in a sentence or two

Please do not name the target or send confidential documents in a first message. We sign an NDA before any of that.

What happens next

  1. A 20-minute call to check fit, scope and timing. If the preflight is not the right tool, I will say so.
  2. A booked start date (I take two preflights a month), then an engagement letter and NDA with the fixed fee, the scope, the turnaround and who may rely on the memo.
  3. A signed scanner release and one-page run sheet for the target's engineer, delivered through the data room.
  4. The memo, 48 to 72 hours after the bundle arrives, followed by a readout call.

Confidentiality

The fact of an engagement is kept confidential. Bundles contain metrics, not source code. How long they are kept is set in the engagement letter. How data is handled.
